Verify that the business name you wish to use for your corporation, limited partnership, limited liability company or limited liability partnership is available. Use our online Business Name Search here.

All for-profit and non-profit corporations, LLCs, LLPs and LPs must then obtain an employer identification number (EIN) from the IRS.

Once you obtain an EIN, complete the two filings below:

Once you have successfully completed the two filings above, you will be able to obtain a Business Registration Certificate (BRC) for public contracting and applying for State grants and tax credits.
